Piazze del Plebiscito
Among tourists and citizens, it is well known the game of crossing blindfolded or with closed eyes the Piazza del Plebiscito. In a nutshell, one must walk about 170 meters in a straight line, starting from the door of the Royal Palace, which is exactly in the middle between the two equestrian statues, and pass through it, but practically no one succeeds in the endeavor. Originally, in fact, the square had an irregular shape and even today a slight slope of the surface prevents those who decide to cross it from going straight. According to legend, Queen Margherita granted salvation to the prisoners of the Kingdom if they had passed this very difficult test, but no one ever succeeded because of a curse launched by the same sovereign, which still prevents it today.

Pompei
Today it is known as the city where one of the most important archaeological sites in the world is located. The Roman city was indeed buried by lava following the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The lava and ash acted as a sort of covering that allowed the city to survive over the centuries and be protected from the elements; precisely for this reason, the city remained intact and is now open to visitors.
